Colorado lures TriZetto headquarters with $4.8 million incentive package

The state is giving  healthcare technology company $4.9 million in tax credits over five years to create 553 new jobs at the $40 million corporate headquarters it’s building in .

In the months since the state agreed to the incentives, TriZetto has increased its job-growth projection to 750 new positions, said Kathy Green, spokeswoman for the Office of Economic Development and International Trade.

“That’s one of the benefits of having a headquarters move,” Green said. “The growth is a little quicker and more immediate.”

TriZetto’s four-story, 186,000-square-foot building at will include 739 parking spaces and be enclosed primarily in glass. The project is expected to be completed next spring.

TriZetto now employs about 650 people in .

In addition to the permanent jobs at TriZetto, the project is expected to create at least 500 construction jobs, Green said.
