P. Michael Reininger, who led development of a major transit-oriented project in Denver, has been named executive VP for All Aboard Florida, which plans a high-speed train service from Miami to Orlando.
Reininger will lead all Vincent Signorello.
Reininger brings nearly three decades of real estate development experience, having served in senior management roles with such notable companies as AECOM, Walt Disney World, MGM Resorts, and The St. Joe Co., a press release said.
As managing partner for Union Station Neighborhood Company in Denver, Colo., Reininger orchestrated the master planning for the Denver Union Station transit-oriented development project through a private-public partnership structure, the press release said. The expansive project is expected to create one of the country’s largest multi-model transit hubs, and involves the redevelopment of 30 acres of downtown Denver real estate and four million square feet of mixed-use space surrounding the historic station.
FECI notably has nine acres in downtown Miami where it plans a Grand Central Station type project as the southern terminus of the passenger service between Orlando.
“Mike has uniquely applicable experiences in transit station planning, project management and branding,” said Signorello. “His experience with the redevelopment of Denver Union Station translates perfectly to our station development program in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Orlando. At AECOM he circled the globe managing large and complicated infrastructure projects. At Disney he practiced the art of synthesizing commercial development and branding. Mike checks every box on our wish list for this executive position.”
