“This is the right place, the right time and the right people for me,” Barrett said. “I couldn’t be happier to be associated with CBRE, the global leading service provider in commercial real estate.”
Barrett has completed an estimated $2.5 billion in real estate advisory assignments for Fortune 500 clients and mid-cap/ large-cap organizations such as the U.S. Mint, eBay, Covad Communications, Invesco Ltd. (NYSE: IVZ), SGI (NASDAQ: SGI) and Sun Microsystems, according to a news release.
Barrett serves in national and regional leadership roles with CoreNet Global, an association for corporate real estate professionals, service providers and economic developers.
She completed an executive program at Stanford University, along with Capstone courses at MIT, and became one of the first 200 professionals to earn a master’s degree in Corporate Real Estate (MCR), a CoreNet Global professional designation. She also sits on the executive committees for the Colorado US Building Green Council and the Sustainable Building Council in Colorado.
“They actually tailored a position around my talents and experience,” she said. “This gives me an opportunity to continue to develop relationships around national accounts and continue to do large, complex transactions.”
